Starting situation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the Corona pandemic, youth unemployment in Colombia reached over 25%. Young people, women and ethnic minorities were particularly affected. Despite these challenges, Antioquia is one of the strongest economic regions in the country: With a share of almost 15% of the national GDP and a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises, there is a high demand for qualified specialists \u2013 especially in IT, agriculture, infrastructure and the manufacturing industry. At the same time, there is a lack of tailor-made training opportunities, especially for young people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project partners (Medell\u00edn Chamber of Commerce & National Training Service) are able to increase the employability of young people in selected professions in the tourism and digital economy sectors in the province of Antioquia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
RESULTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- 10 dual training programmes<\/strong> were developed and introduced in accordance with the needs of the IT industry, food and beverage industry, gastronomy, electrical engineering and trade <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
- 39 companies<\/strong> have successfully implemented dual vocational education and training in their companies. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
- 273 young people<\/strong> have taken part in dual courses or completed training, 78 of whom have been taken on or are in another employment. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
- 349 project and cooperation partners<\/strong> from chambers of commerce, companies and educational institutions have been trained in the implementation of dual education, 88 of whom have qualified as trainers and are now training young people. <\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
